Randy G. Brooks

Randy Gerard Brooks,  aka Lord Randy Brooks, 71, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, died at his Spring Hill home on Sunday March 10, 2024. Randy was born on October 22, 1952, in New York, the first child of Samuel and Rita Brooks. He attended the New York Institute of Technology and was a member of the Omicron Sigma Upsilon fraternity. He met up with his frat brothers often to rehash the antics of their youth which many cannot be shared here because no one is quite sure if the statute of limitations has run out. At a trade show in Philadelphia in 1979 Randy struck up a conversation with Kathy, the young woman running the booth next to his. ‘Mac’, as he affectionately called her, and Randy, went on to marry and have two beautiful daughters. They raised their family in New York before moving to Florida in the 1990’s. ­

Randy’s sense of humor was unparalleled. He was a lover of the classic comedies: Laurel & Hardy, The Three Stooges, The Little Rascals- he binged these shows before binging was a thing. He was a vivacious reader, and the subject did not matter, just that it had words.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Kathy, daughters Ashley (Brad) Hoffman and Allison (Roy) Bumgardner, grandchildren Crystal (Joe), Brandon, Kaitlyn, Holly and Kane, brother Thomas (Karen), his Aunt Kathryn Tutora, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Samuel and Rita Brooks.
