On Saturday, January 16th, 2021, Alicia “Leash” Floyd, loving daughter of Margaret “Peggy” Cordani and Marcus Crump, Amazing “mama” of Armaniya Chanise Floyd, and caring sister to a brother Lameek Floyd and a sister Ciara Floyd, passed away at the age of 31. She leaves behind Armaniya's mother Rachel Floyd, 1 niece, 5 nephews, aunts, and uncle, many cousins, and her lifelong friend Genia Marchant.
Leash had a passion for always looking out for the people in her life that she cared about most. She always loved numbers. She was amazing at math and she was so lucky with the scratch offs and playing the lottery. She would win every time! She also loved butterflies. She thought they were the most beautiful insect. If you know Leash, you know she hates bugs!! She was also an avid music lover and could remember every song lyric to every song, even if she only heard that song once. She was known for her quick wit, sarcasm, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate soul. She loved her daughter Armaniya more than anything in this world and always wanted what was best for her, “Mama’s girl. Mama’s baby”.
Alicia was born on August 20th, 1989 in Peekskill, New York to Margaret “Peggy” Cordani. Her and her family moved from Shirley, New York to Spring Hill, Florida in 2001. During the years that Alicia was here she gained more friends than one could imagine, created lifelong bonds, and invited multiple different people to be a part of her. She will forever be missed. Her unique laugh and contagious smile will live on forever. May she rest in eternal peace.
