Obituary
Andre Chernogorec Sr. passed away at the age of 62 on Monday, May 1st 2023, after a brief battle with an aggressive form of lung cancer.
Andre was born on July 22nd, 1960, in Buffalo, NY. He grew up in Orchard Park, NY, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Carol. Shortly after his first child was born, he joined the Army as a Construction Equipment Repairer and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. Completing one enlistment, he left the Army after his second child was born and moved back to New York. There he joined the Carpenters Union and started a long career as a Highway Construction Carpenter. Several years, two more children, and four high school graduations later, Andre retired early and moved to Florida. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling the US, visiting battlefields, camping, and spending time with family.
Andre was an avid NASCAR and classic Country music fan. As a lifelong carpenter, he kept busy in life building things- everything from bridges to cabinets- but his most prized build was his family.
Andre is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Debiew); children: Andre Jr., Justin, Kasie and Katy; siblings: Mary, John, Nina, Paul, Natalie and Barbara; grandchildren: Blake, Jaylen, Ronin, Lacie, Sophia, Joseph, Alianna, and Caleb.
