Anthony (Tony) Volonino was a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend to so many. He was an honorable military Navy veteran. Tony was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY by his Italian immigrant grandparents who raised him. He was married to his wife for 52 years and had four children and one grandson, along with two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and six step-grandchildren. His family came first and he was dedicated to providing for us. He worked as a truck driver for more than 60 years.
He was a "young" 82 years old when he passed and he was still a full-time, 82-year-old, 18-wheel truck driver. It was his purpose in life to provide for his family and he ensured that he did just that. We never went without no matter what life threw his way. He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him and knew him well. His memory and life will live on through his loved ones. Thank you, husband, dad, and grandpa for all that you did for us, your love for us was the most un-materialistic accomplished thing you did for us above and beyond anything else, because your love for your family is what was most important to you. His love for his family was the true definition of unconditional love. Tony will continue to provide for his family by watching over us and keeping us safe from above. You can finally hang up those truck keys, Tony, Dad, Grandpa, your life's purpose was successfully accomplished and will be forever in our hearts. We love you just as much as you loved all of us. Pour some Johnny Walker, put on your moccasins, sit by the fire, and watch over your family.
