On Saturday, November 18, 2023, Arthur Joseph (Aj) Cicirelli passed onto his next journey, at age 55, after a rapid illness. He came home from the hospital under hospice care in Brooksville, Florida surrounded by all his family and friends.
Aj is survived by his mother, Barbara Cicirelli, daughters, Samantha and Sophia, Cicirelli, ex-wife, Jessica Anderson, siblings, Laura and her husband, Lee Katz, Michael, and wife, Cammy, Timothy, and wife, Mika, Patricia, and husband, Gregory Morehead, sister in law Megan Foley; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Cicirelli and sister, Andrea Cicirelli.
AJ was a self taught guitarist and piano player, and enjoyed playing in his downtime.
AJ fought what we thought was his greatest battle 15 years ago, stage four pharyngeal cancer. He beat it…… in a way, but was left with many post treatment issues to deal with over the years. He was a warrior, a fighter, something our family knows all about.
The way he died, is just like he lived. He wrote his own rules, fought and paved his own way. And if you said he couldn’t do it, he would make sure he could. This was seen over and over in his career as an amazingly, talented, carpenter, specializing in custom detail finishing’s. He was an extremely skilled craftsman in his trade with vision, creativity, and endless project possibilities.
Many thought he was crazy with all his shenanigans, but he absolutely knew how to have fun and make us all laugh especially the memories of the potato gun shootings over the lake in Cedarville, Plymouth, Massachusetts and the various hot dog pranks!
AJ had a beautiful smile, kind spirit, funny sense of humor and stunning blue eyes that could make anyone just love to be around him.
AJ lived 1000 years in the 55 calendar years we had with him, because he attacked life and living as it should be… One day at a time; a concept not many are fortunate enough to experience.
He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and firm understanding of what was important….. the simplicity of living a life with those you love. His awareness of the importance of a life with the ones you love over any material possession was only handicapped by his territorial attachment to his Xbox remote control!!
Of all the people he touched, his most proud achievement in life was his two beautiful daughters, Samantha and Sophia; and, of course his best friend, doggy, pal, Brewster, a.k.a. “Boops”.
AJ will be missed and remembered by all; forgotten by none.
Thank you, AJ. for everything! We were blessed to have you in our lives.
You can now rest your body and mind.
Peace and love always,
Your family and friends
