Brendon Lee Lausch of Brooksville, FL passed away March 11, 2023. Brendon was born October 16, 1953 in Carrington, ND the son of Walter and Joyce (Heiden) Lausch. He attended school in Carrington and graduated from Carrington High School in 1971. On June 7, 1975 he married Susan Roller in Hurdsfield, ND. Brendon and Susan were married for 33 years and had 2 daughters, Rachel and Jacqueline.
Brendon joined the Air Force after graduation and completed a 20 year career retiring July 31, 1991. While in the Air Force he served at Offutt AFB, NE; Augsburg, Germany; Keesler AFB, MD; Minot AFB ND. Brendon also completed an Associate Degree in Instructional Technologies, Bachelor of Science Degree, with a concentration in Psychology and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in Administration while in the Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked a short time as a salesman for a local tire company. He later started working for the Air Force as a civil servant and had assignments at Minot AFB, ND; Robins AFG, GA; Randolph AFB, TX. On December 31, 2015, Brendon retired after a distinguished 22 year, civil service career, as a Community Readiness Analyst at HQ AFPC Randolph AFB, TX. Brendon then moved to the sunshine state of Florida to enjoy his well-deserved retirement.
Brendon was an avid hunter and fisherman, with many mounts to prove it. Brendon’s love for sports continued into adulthood as he officiated high school football and basketball, intramural softball, and flag football. Brendon was as ASA Softball Umpire and officiated numerous Sam McQuade, Sr. Charity Softball tournaments, 2 Dakota Regional Softball tournaments, and 3 National Championship Softball Tournaments. He was active in the adult softball program in Minot, ND as a player until he became an umpire, so that he could stay involved in a sport he truly loved.
Brendon is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Ashley) Iverson, and Jacqueline Lausch (Bill) both of Minot, ND; one sister, Chris (Peter) Roller, Jamestown; one brother Jim (Paula) Lausch, Jamestown; and three grandchildren, Regaen, Dillyn, and Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers; David and Mark.
