Carl John Schomburg

Carl J. Schomburg, 84 (living in his 85th year) of Hudson Florida passed away in his home peacefully on August 14th, 2025 surrounded by his children.  He married his beautiful wife Susanne (Suzy Baby) Stout on September 23, 1967 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She preceded him in death January 27, 2018.

Carl was the father of three- Carl W. Schomburg, Holly Klein, Heather Kustra spouse Joseph. 

Proud Grandfather of Amanda Magitz spouse Jordan, Samantha Smiley, Christian- fiance Kelsie and Carly Kustra. 

Extremely thrilled Great Grandfather aka  GG-Pop to Theodore (Teddy), Philip and Caroline.

Carl loved to tell the story of his life born in Philadelphia, raised in Clearwater, Florida and retired with his beautiful wife in Hudson, FL.  He was a proud VET from the 101st Airborne Paratrooper and was Philadelphia Police Officer. Sue and Carl built a home in the woods of Philadelphia designing the landscaping with cobble stone, where he raised his family and established many friends throughout the years. They retired to Hudson Florida where him and Suzy made friends throughout the community and provided a fun-loving home for the Northern Family and friends to visit. 

He had a Hardy Laugh that made family, friends and strangers adore him.  In his youth, he loved fishing and drinking his beer.  As he got in his older years enjoyed playing dominos, cards and his FRIDAY NIGHT BINGO!

Now he is in paradise with the Lord our God and Suzy Baby.
