Caroline Schwappach

Caroline was born on November 01, 1989, in Kampala, Uganda in East Africa.

Her father Daniel passed away shortly after Caroline’s birth.

She grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Kampala being raised by her mother Magret. It was a challenging time for their small family.

Caroline persevered attending primary and secondary school in Uganda but was unable to graduate. She needed to earn money and was fortunate enough to work for her aunt who owns businesses in various countries.

On her very first trip outside of Uganda she met her current husband Jurgen, in Bangkok, Thailand in 2010.

Caroline migrated to the United States in May 2011 and married Jurgen the same month.

She worked as a janitor for several years during the day while attending evening classes studying English, Civics and Math at the YWCA in Pottstown, PA.

Caroline gave birth to her daughter Bianca on Valentine’s Day 2015.

In October 2015 Caroline was finally admitted to pre-GED classes at Montgomery County Community College, West Campus in Pottstown, PA.

She passed her final GED exam in April 2016 and graduated successfully. She enhanced her career by passing the PA Certified Nursing Assistance examination and started working in the health care field.

Her husband retired in April 2018 after working more than two decades for the Pennsylvania State Department of Corrections. In July 2018 the family relocated to Hernando County, FL.

Caroline remained in the medical field and spent three years working for HCA Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL.

In January 2022, Caroline began Officer’s Certification classes at Withlacoochee Technical College in Inverness, FL on a full-time basis while still working for HCA on the weekends.

After her Officer’s Certification in April 2022, Caroline applied for a detention deputy position with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. After an intensive hiring process, Caroline was sworn in on August 15, 2022.

If anyone ever has, Caroline lived and worked the ‘American Dream’ until her untimely passing on September 12, 2024.

She is survived by her husband Jurgen Schwappach, her daughter Bianca, her brother Tonny and her mother Magret.
