Carolyn Viola Young of Spring Hill, Florida was called home to the Lord on August 4, 2022. After 53 years of marriage, she leaves behind her loving husband Charles Young. She will be missed by her two children, Charles “Chuck” Young and Vershun Jacques. She had 5 siblings that preceded her in death and her baby sister, Agnes “Ann” Walker, lives on to cherish her special memory. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild, London Charles Young, who will continue her legacy.
Carolyn accepted Christ in her life at a very early age. After becoming a minister, she founded the Women of Praise ministry where she worked with a team of fellow Christian Women to spread the Good News of the Gospel. This also included working in the Prison Ministry to help guide people back to Christ.
She also loved life and lived it to its fullest. In her 72 years, she enjoyed family vacations, cruises with her husband, and camping trips with loved ones. In early 2019, she and her husband continued celebrating their love through a cruise on their 50-year wedding anniversary and was joined by her children, grandchildren, sister, and a host of nieces and nephews. Carolyn was an avid shopper, but usually bought things for everyone else and it was usually exactly what you needed.
We all will miss her outspoken personality and the leopard print. God loaned Carolyn to us for a brief time, but her spirit will live on through us that are left behind.
