Charles W Smith

Charles W Smith, Jr, age 84, born in Howard Beach, New York on November 25, 1936, passed away on May 26, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Loving husband to his wife of almost 62 years Jane (nee Beintema). Loving father to Larry (Tracy) and Sandy (Jeff). Loving Poppy to Drew (Kerri), Erika, Matt, Zac, Emily, Alex, Abigail, and Adam. Loving brother to Betty Habich and Brother-in-law to Kerry and Bill Ball.

Smitty or Charlie, as he was known to many, worked his entire career at Grumman Aerospace before retiring in 1994. He was an avid golfer who was lucky enough to have 6 hole-in-ones!

Visitation Tuesday, June 1 from 10am-noon.
