Claire Marie Bremer

Claire M. Bremer (nee Heimbuch), 96, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on March 13th from natural causes.

Claire was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Bremer; her parents, Edmund and Marie Heimbuch; her brothers William Heimbuch and Robert Heimbuch. She is survived by nephews, Robert Bremer (Barbara), William Heimbuch, Richard Heimbuch (Cindy), Edmund Heimbuch (Darlene), Paul Heimbuch and nieces Jane Heimbuch Whetzel and Katherine Heimbuch Hammel (James), sisters in law Jane Heimbuch (Robert) and Marjorie Heimbuch (William), 9 grand nephews and nieces, numerous loving cousins and friends.

Claire was born in Hudson County, NJ in 1923. She loved telling stories of growing up in Weehawken, working in New York City and her early career as a dental hygienist. She and Charlie moved to Houston for Charlie’s job at Shell Oil. In Houston, Claire started her second career as an office assistant at Halliburton where she was considered so valuable she was allowed to make her own hours.

Upon retirement Claire and her beloved Charlie relocated to Florida and enjoyed life on the golf course, travelling and visiting friends and family. They traveled on 15 cruises accompanied by many friends always making new ones along the way.

Claire will always be remembered for her sense of humor and infectious laugh, her gentle love and compassion.
