Curtis Michael De Groat of Spring Hill, FL

Age 72 

Curt De Groat was born in Newton, NJ on March 24, 1949, to Lawrence and Marguerite De Groat, now deceased.   He died peacefully on June 2, 2021, at Sturgill Hospice House after a brief battle with cancer.  Curt spent many years in New York City, and worked among other things as a caregiver and teacher of natural healing. He was a deeply spiritual person, loved life, people, animals, cooking, art, singing along with music, especially opera and a good laugh.  Curt was preceded in death by baby sister, Mary De Groat and leaves behind his sisters, Terri Potter(husband Joseph), Judith Kmiec(husband John) and Joan Finigan(husband Steve),  stepmother, Betty De Groat,  1 aunt, 13 nieces and nephews 15 great nieces and nephews along with 1 great great nephew and many cousins as well as many treasured friends. Curt will be greatly missed.  His family is very thankful for all the care given him while he was in the hospital, rehab and at home.  In lieu of flowers, you are invited to give a donation to Sturgill Hospice House, 12242 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL in Curt’s memory.
