Daniel Fowlkes Obituary

In Loving Memory of Daniel Grady Fowlkes
Dan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2025 at home. He was 64 years old.

Born on August 7, 1960, in Syracuse, New York, Daniel always had a deep love for family, sports, games, food, the outdoors, and his church. A graduate of Whitesboro High School, he went on to pursue a career as a supervisor in manufacturing, where he was widely respected for his innovation, humor and dedication.

Daniel had a generous heart, a sharp mind, and a witty sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him. He was passionate about watching/coaching soccer, playing golf, fishing and all things sports. He dedicated his time and energy to supporting his family and volunteering in various roles at his church. His life was a testament to hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy, with whom he shared 44 1/2 years of marriage; his children, Kelly Sudol (Jess), Krista Tompkins (Josh), Megan Henry (Nick), who were his pride and joy; and his 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Kendall, Aubrey, Lily, Brynn, Teagan, Grady, and Hadley who lit up his world. Daniel also leaves behind his siblings Linda Merritt (Bob), Robin Carson (Paul), Donna Moulton (David), and step-siblings Leisl Ashby (Bryan) and Erik Fowlkes (Katie).

A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM, at Christ’s Family Christian Church, 7461 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to share stories of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Christ’s Family Christian Church (www.cfcc.church ) for their new building fund, a cause dear to Daniel’s heart.

Daniel’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
