David Junior Colon

David J. Colon, 43, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away suddenly on February 4, 2021. David is survived by his loving wife, Michelle and two children he adored beyond measure, Paige and David. David was the son of the late David Colon and Diane (Colon) Auger (Eddie). He is survived by his brother, George Harris (Mary), as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. David also leaves behind parents in law, Shirley and Dapper Dupuis and two sisters in law, Nicole Dupuis (Brandee) and Monique Dupuis (Michael) and nephew Logan. He will be deeply missed by many friends that he treated as his chosen family, including Jason and Melissa Canals.

David was born on August 10, 1977 in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he spent his childhood. Upon meeting his lifelong soulmate, Michelle, the two moved to Spring Hill, Florida where they happily raised their family. David worked as a painter and jack of all trades, eventually owning and operating his own business. He devoted his free time to his family and was actively involved with everything from dance recitals to coaching little league games. David loved to play pool and was a member and coach of a local league. He enjoyed sports, playing video games, live music, and anything that his family enjoyed.

In addition to being a loving husband and devoted father, David will forever be remembered by those who knew him as a truly generous, kind, and loving man. He treated strangers like his friends and his friends like family.  His smile was infectious, and his hugs could put anyone at ease. David’s loving spirit will live on in his children, family, and everyone who was lucky enough to have him touch their lives.

A celebration of the life of David Colon will be held on Saturday, February 13, 3:00 pm at 19402 Hwy 41 N. Lutz, FL 33549. The family welcomes all to join the outdoor celebration.
