Of Spring Hill, Florida. He was born in Akron, Ohio on June 29, 1934 and passed away on June 8, 2022.
Don served in the United States Army. He worked at Ford Motor Company as a tool-and-die-maker. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Kent State University in 1966. He began his career at General Electric in 1968 serving as Manager of Employee and Community Relations until his retirement in 1990 at locations throughout the United States.
Don was a talented musician who played clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, and piano. He had a polka band in his early 20s playing around the Akron area. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing numerous years through his retirement. He had a great sense of humor, was known for pranks and teasing, and had a strong zest for life. Don and his wife Nadeen travelled frequently with friends around the world including destinations like Egypt, Singapore, and Europe. Don was an outgoing man who had a way of making others feel special and welcomed. In his later years, he was the man who sat on his porch, smiled and waved to all passersby. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Nadeen. Daughters Deanne (Gerry) Hickly and Darcy Watson. Grandchildren: Jack (Katie) Hickly, Andy (Kelsey) Hickly, Matt Hickly, and Caroline Watson. Great grandchildren Maezie Hickly and Merritt Hickly. Brother, Jim (Saundra) Supina and sister-in-law Debby Supina.
He is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Steve Supina and his brother, Dennis Supina.
Services and burial with Military Honors will be held for Don on Monday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
