Elba Tapia

Elba Iris Tapia was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico on December 21, 1939.  She died on the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary - September 8, 2021.
Elba is survived by loving husband of 56 years Eugenio Tapia Rosario; their children:  Mary Tapia Chapman, Charles Tapia and Michael Tapia - 13 grandchildren:  Christina, Adam, David, Angela, Michelle, Teresa, Luis, Sean, Michael Jr, Ariel, Mercedes, Isis, and Jalen and 5 great grandchildren:  Zoey, Phoenix, Christian, Gabriel and Willow.
Family was her passion and she worried over everyone-always making sure there wasn't an empty belly even if you had just eaten!  Her second passion was her garden.  She was our "master gardener" and could grow just about anything beautifully, especially her orchids.  She was always looking for new and better ways to cultivate and rejoiced over every new bloom like it was her baby.
All who new her experienced her joy in living and bringing joy and comfort.  We will miss her in our lives and know that she is cultivating her orchids in heaven as she watches over us.
