Eleanor E. (Schultz) Redmann
June 14, 1926 – November 22, 2021 (95)
Eleanor E. (Schultz) Redmann of Spring Hill, Florida was born in Germania, Wisconsin on June
14, 1926 and was called to her heavenly home by Jesus on November 22, 2021. She was the
fourth child of ten children born to Helen (Williams) and Emil Schultz, Sr. She married Kenneth
Paul Redmann, Sr. and they lived and raised their family in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Redmann Sr.; by daughters, Constance “C.J.” Redmann-Ely and Nancy Vangen; by her four sisters and one brother; and by one great
grandchild. She is survived by her daughters, Helen “Lennie” Finneran and Karen K. Redmann;
by her son, Kenneth, Jr.; by two brothers and two sisters; by 9 grandchildren; by 16 great grandchildren and by one great, great grandchild. All of whom she loved very much.
Eleanor is remembered as a woman of remarkable resolve, strength and integrity. She worked
nights as a waitress to help her husband complete college when he lost his right arm in a farm
accident. While raising five children she worked in a factory and as a cook. After the death of
Kenneth, Sr., Eleanor owned and managed two triplex rental units, worked as a data entry clerk,
and was a professional caregiver. She retired at age 75. She enjoyed playing solitaire and
bowling. At age 85 Eleanor was literally run over by an SUV in a parking lot. Doctor’s prognosis
was that she would never walk again. Wrong! After six months she returned to full
independence. She was very active in her church with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League
(LWML) and was a Stephen Minister.
Eleanor was a woman of enduring faith and will be dearly missed. However, as she has taught
us, “Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve
like the rest of men, who have no hope” (I Thessalonians 4:13).
