Francis James Joseph Mazzuco
“The Great One”
January 14, 1956 – March 12, 2025
Francis James Joseph Mazzuco, lovingly known as “The Great One,” passed away peacefully at his home in Weeki Wachee, Florida, on March 12, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on January 14, 1956, in Brentwood, New York, Francis spent his life dedicated to his family, his work, and the things that brought him joy. He spent his entire professional career in the alarm industry, where he built a legacy of hard work, integrity, and strong family ties, operating his own businesses and working alongside family. Francis’ love for music—especially The Beatles—was only rivaled by his love for history, classic movies, and his deep pride in his Italian heritage. A true patriot, he loved the USA and never hesitated to share his knowledge and passion for the country’s history. More than anything, he cherished time spent with family and friends, always the life of the gathering, bringing people together with his warmth and quick wit. He is survived by his best friend, Virginia Mazzuco; his children, Bridget, Theresa, and Luke Mazzuco; his stepchildren, Brian, Steven, and Kevin Stern, and Nicole Chavez; his son-in-law Jake Rollison, his beloved grandchildren, Bridget Mazzuco, Kennedy Rollison, Adeleah, Madeline, Michael Stern, and Ethan and Erin Chavez. He is also survived by his brothers, Philip, Joseph, and Thomas Mazzuco, and his sisters, Theresa and Maryann Mazzuco. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Theresa Mazzuco; his brother, Mariano Mazzuco; and his stepson, Michael Stern. Francis was deeply loved, and his presence will be forever missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind not just a family but a lifetime of memories, laughter, and lessons that will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
