George D. Moriarty Jr.
February 5, 1949 – November 2, 2025
George D. Moriarty Jr., a devoted partner, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born on February 5, 1949, in Springfield, Massachusetts, George spent most of his adult life working as a sales manager in the farm hardware industry, where he was known for his dedication, integrity, and friendly nature. A lifelong joker and storyteller, George had a gift for making others laugh. His quick wit, warm smile, and love of fun brought joy to everyone who knew him.
After retiring, George relocated to Spring Hill, Florida, where he continued to give back to his community by volunteering at Oak Hill Hospital, helping transport patients to and from the Towers. His kindness and good humor brightened the days of countless patients and staff.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George D. Moriarty Sr. and Anna May Lubold. He is survived by his beloved partner and one true love, Gloria Bird; his sister, Patricia Duncan, and her husband, Bill Duncan, of Connecticut; two cherished nieces, Jennifer House and Ann Johnson; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
George will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his laughter, generosity, and caring heart. He lived his life with humor, kindness, and love — leaving behind smiles and memories that will last forever.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
