"Gerard “Jerry” Joseph Kilday Sr., died February 3, 2021, was born June 17, 1928 in Manhattan, NY and raised in Queens before moving to Long Island with his wife, Dorothy Agnes, where they raised their five children. Jerry was a proud public servant, a veteran of both the Merchant Marines and United States Army. Jerry also served the New York City Transit Authority for 28 years as a dispatch supervisor before retiring to Florida with his wife. Jerry exited retirement twice but still spent much of his time with his family and his other true loves - cars, motorcycles, and the open road. Jerry was known as a kind-hearted, and deeply devoted family man. He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, generosity, and love as he joins his wife Dorothy Agnes Kilday and son Gerard Joseph Kilday Jr. in peace, and is survived by his children Barbara Flood (Michael), Kevin Kilday, Mary Ruth Rodrigues de Miranda, Madeline Kilday, his grandchildren Daniel Doeinck, Timothy Doeinck, Jessica Kilday, Salvatore Kilday, Tyler Kilday, Carly Kilday, Cassidy Kilday, Madison Kilday, Nicole Martinez, Katie Rodrigues de Miranda, David Rodrigues de Miranda, step grandchildren Matthew Flood, William Flood, Sean Flood, Jeffrey Miranda, Ryan Miranda, his great grandchildren Colin Doeinck, Carter Doeinck, Ali Doeinck, Jack Kilday, Salvatore Kilday Gabriella Kilday, Kenadee Kilday, step great grandchildren Adriana Williams, Amelia Williams, Lilian Miranda, Layla Telschow, Kairi Miranda his nieces Bonnie Heisler, Lorraine Johnson, Ceil Cacase, Mary Johnson, Teri Hresko, Margaret Nogan, Joanne Zaino, Kathleen Kulakowski, Frances Kulakowski, Margaret Kulakowski, his nephews Peter Bonfiglio, James Bonfiglio, Thomas Kilday Jr, Richard Kilday, Timothy Kilday, Paul Kulakowski, Daniel Kilday, and a great number of grand nieces and nephews.
