Gordon Kissinger Obituary

Mr. Gordon Earl Kissinger, age 81, passed away on April 18, 2020.  He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Leslie and Leone Kisinger on August 21, 1938.  Mr. Kissinger has been a winter resident of Weeki Wachee since 1994.  He's a member of Mariner United Methodist Church in Spring Hill, and First United Methodist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. Mr Kissinger worked at Kellogg for over 30 years. He was exceptionally kind, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who was in need.  He was also loving.  He thoroughly enjoyed his role as husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was always there for his children, and loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandchildren. He loved to bowl. He participated in many tournaments, and owned and operated a proshop in Battle Creek. He also had a passion for motorcycles that spanned nearly sixty years.  He has ridden with friends and clubs in Michigan, as well as Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Earl Kisinger and Leone Alice Kisinger.  He is survived by his loving wife Vicki; surrogate parents Donald and Hattie Tuck brother David Kisinger; sister Doris Phillips; son Gordon Earl Kissinger, Jr.; daughter Darcy Purk, and husband Terry; grandchildren Mitchell Burke and wife Shannon, Nicholas Burke and wife Jennifer; Step children Jodie Hamilton and husband Paige, Wesley Breen, Nicole Cummins and husband Bruce.  

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mariner United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, or First United Methodist Church of Battle Creek.
