Gretchen Maria Tripp, 61, of Brooksville, FL, passed away on Monday, March 13th.

Gretchen was born on January 25, 1962, to Roland and Marjorie Smith in Jonesboro, AR. She was an active member of her high school band where she played the flute and twirled batons.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Nathan Jones. She is survived by her spouse Steven Tripp; her four children Emily Jones of Greenwood, AR, Caleb (Tiffany) Evans of Hot Springs, AR, Samuel (Krystin) Evans of Rogers, AR, and Elisabeth (Kris) Baxter of Bella Vista, AR; nine grandchildren; former husband David Evans; sisters Rozland Smith and Cindy Neukam; and a brother Dwain Smith.

Gretchen had a generous heart, a kind, sweet spirit, and made others feel welcome. She was an excellent cook, cake decorator, and hostess. She enjoyed playing games, shopping, teaching and spending time with family.

No public service is planned.
