Jack M Benson

Jack M Benson, 79, of Brooksville, FL, was called home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2025.

Born on May 19, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Jack moved with his family to Brooksville in 1961 and graduated from Hernando High School in 1964.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Medical Administrator while stationed in Greenland during the Vietnam war. After his service, Jack earned a business degree from the University of South Florida and began a career in the oil industry, ultimately retiring as a Distribution Manager with Shell Oil.

While living in South Florida, Jack met the love of his life, Rosalyn, at church. They were blessed with 35 years of marriage. Following retirement, Jack returned to Brooksville to enjoy a peaceful life surrounded by nature and his beloved pets.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Rosalyn Benson; his son, Deryk Benson, of Massachusetts; his sister, Vera Huckaby (Bill) of Brooksville, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Esther Benson, his brother Richard Benson, and his sister Helene Hawkins.

A visitation at 10 a.m.  and memorial service at 11 a.m. will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Grace World Outreach Church (The Dome) in Brooksville.
