Joan Ker Obituary

Joan A. Ker of Hudson, Florida, passed away May 19, 2020.  She was 91 years old.  Mrs. Ker was born on June 9, 1928 to Charles and Gladys Reib in Albany, New York.  She was employed in accounting and was a small business owner. Later she operated a motel during the summer in New York and spent the winters in the Islands of the West Indies.  She retired at 55 years old and spent her retirement living in various small towns throughout the country.  She has lived in New York, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and Florida.  In her retirement, she was constantly busy and loved to travel, visit with family and friends, fish and cook.  She was a loyal volunteer, and was active in 12 Step Programs and her Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles Reib, and her daughter Ann Creegan.  Widowed by her husband of 47 years, William Ker. She was previously widowed by her husband Richard Creegan.  She is survived by her son, Edward Creegan, and his wife Maria ; daughter Carol Lamb, and her husband Paul Ellinghuysen,  daughter Paula Grugan; son Bob Ker;  grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Renee, Dodie, Angelic, Loren, Kristen; great grandchildren Zoe, Trevor, Tyler, and Tucker. The family will hold a private service.
