Joan Louise Luchetta, 84, of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Endwell, New York, passed away on June 27, 2025. Joan is preceded in death by the love of her life and soulmate, Louis Luchetta, as well as her parents, Lydia and James Swartz, and seven siblings - Lois, Vivian, Jimmy, Dick, Shirley, Esther, and Marilyn.
Joan was an avid bowler and meticulous bookkeeper, devoting much of her career to the Credit Bureau of the Triple Cities in Johnson City, New York. In her retirement after moving to Brooksville, Joan used her excellent bookkeeping skills as a dedicated member and Treasurer of the High Point Travel Club.
A beloved step-mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Joan will be deeply and forever missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her step-daughters, Karen Luchetta Kopansky of Jonesboro, Maine and Susan Luchetta Weertman of Granbury, Texas; two grandchildren, Melissa McDonald Stone of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael McDonald of Peachtree City, Georgia; four grandchildren of Oneonta, New York; several nieces, including Susan Haight, nephews, and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Broome County, New York Humane Society, 167 Conklin Ave Binghamton, NY 13903.
