Joan H Steele

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joan Galvin Steele of Spring Hill, Florida on October 12, 2024 at the age of 88. Joan was a longtime Tampa resident graduating from  Hillsborough High School in 1954.

Joan Galvin Steele was born on April 10, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a loving mother, sister and devoted wife. She dedicated her life to her family and community, always putting others before herself. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Steele, her 9 children and their spouses Irene Oliver, Marie Hughes and Greg Thomas, John and Tammy Steele, Jennifer Steele and Christine Cimino, Margaret and Bob Gaitens, William and Kathy Steele, Paul and Jodi Steele, Matthew and Jeanie Steele, Kevin and Michelle Steele and her 27 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren and 1 great baby in the oven. Her brother Michael Galvin and  sister Antoinette Strachan.  Joan Steele will be fondly remembered by her extended family and dear friends.

Funeral Arrangements are pending at this time.

Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
