On Monday, June 20, 2022, Joanne LeClair Stuart (age 68) passed away in Spring Hill, FL
Born in Ipswich, MA in 1954, Joanne graduated from UMass Amherst as an educator. She taught at Faye Boarding School in Southborough, MA before switching careers to HR working at Epsilon in Burlington, MA and Portland Pipeline in Portland, ME
After several years, Joanne decided to return to teaching and taught 4th and 5th grade students at Wentworth Elementary in Scarborough, ME until retiring in 2015.
She very much enjoyed the "island life" on Long Island in Casco Bay and entertaining friends and family with wonderful lobster bakes. She was ative in Evergreen United Methodist Church and enjoyed tending her vegetables in the community garden.
Pre-deceased by her former husband Jeb Stuart, Joanne is survived by her sisters Margaret "Maggie" Urias in Tehachapi, CA and Linda LeClair-LeBlanc in Spring Hill, FL. Nieces Jennifer, Sarah, Papillon, Sachielle and Vienna. Nephews Jonathan and Mirage (his wife Katie and their son Sebastian).
Step daughters Gretchen and Jennifer (her husband Dan). Step grandchildren, Greta, Cameron, Joey, Eva and Mia.
A celebration of life will be held on Long Island, Me in the fall of 2022.
