John "Jack" McCormick

John “Jack” McCormick, born November 12, 1921, of Hoboken, New Jersey passed away July 24, 2020 (98). He bravely served in the Army Air Corp. and fought in WWII. He was captured as a POW. Mr. McCormick was a proud graduate of Xavier Jesuit Academy in NYC and St. Peters Jesuit Academy in Jersey City where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Viewing  will be held at Downing Funeral Home on July 28, 2020 from 2 pm-4 pm and 6 pm-8 pm and service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 11 am on July 29, 2020. 

His story lives on with his wife Ruthalys “Pidge” McCormick; son Jay and wife Mary McCormick; son Michael and wife Vicki McCormick; his two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.
