John Rizos 78 of Spring Hill Fl received his wings on 10/29/2024. Son of Christodoulos & Kyriaki Rizos. He left behind his wife of 43 years, Bonnie Dermer. John and his wife spent many happy years together, they were inseparable, there were so many laughs and a few tears too.
He had 5 children, Christopher Retos, Kimberly Lenney (Lewis), Rob Sabine (Laura), Kristina Robbins (David) and Kathleen Katherina (Keith), 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 brothers Panagiotis Rizos & Kostas Rizos and 2 sisters Kalliope Moungrou & Eugenia Thomatos. His closest Aunt Olga Mavrogiorgis was like a sister and best friend to him, he often referred to her as his mom, she was very dear to him. He also left and Aunt Melpo Goulandris of Leros Greece and very close cousin Eva Tahliambouris (Freddy).
John served in the Greek Navy and his proudest moment was becoming a US American Citizen! He spent most of his free time going to his grand and great grandchildren’s sports events. He played soccer in Greece and coached his granddaughter’s soccer team for several years.
John was a Good Christian Man and was loved by so many people. He will be missed by so many of his dear family and friends. ( Manuel & Gina Ortega, you will always be appreciated and loved for all the love you gave John)
May he Rest in Peace, until we see you again.
