Kevin Mark Bruce Ross

August 12, 1957 – May 2, 2025

Kevin Mark Bruce Ross, age 67, passed away on May 2, 2025.  A man of many quiet strengths, Kevin will be remembered for his quick wit, thoughtful nature, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Kevin was born on August 12, 1957, in Santa Monica, California.  Kevin spent most of his life in the tech world, where his sharp mind and love of science made him a natural “techy.”   Later in life, he transitioned into the insurance field and retired from Progressive Insurance in 2022- leaving behind a legacy of reliability, integrity, and always being the guy who could fix just about anything.

Though quiet by nature, Kevin had a quirky charm and dry sense of humor that made an impression on everyone who knew him.  He had a genuine heart and was always willing to help- whether it was offering advice, troubleshooting a stubborn problem, or simply showing up when it mattered.  He loved his family deeply and took great pride in his children.

Kevin also had a creative side.  He loved riding motorcycles, singing (often off-key and unapologetically), and playing the guitar.  Music brough him joy, even if he didn’t always hit the right note- and he wouldn’t have had it any other way!

Kevin was preceded in death by parents, Herbert Ross and JoAnne Kline, and his brother, Sean Ross.  Kevin is survived by his wife, Desiree Ross; his children, Jordan Ross, Harrison Ross, Anastacia Ross, and Ian Gill-McMorrow; his sister, Hollis Johnson; and the mother of his children, Tamiko Berryman.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Batman, who was never far from his side.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow.  Kevin will be cremated, as per his wishes.

Kevin’s legacy is one of quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and a life lived on his own terms.  Kevin will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who loved him.

VIEWING: 12:00 p.m.

Refreshments will be served directly after the service.
