Lionel Ray Stephens, a lifelong native of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Tampa on Halloween, October 31, 1933, Lionel spent his entire life building deep roots in the community he loved.

For over 25 years, Lionel worked as a dedicated General Contractor, leaving a literal and lasting mark on the Tampa landscape through his craftsmanship and hard work.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edie, and his cherished son, Jeff.

Lionel's memory will be kept alive by his two brothers, Ralph and Kenneth, along with an extended network of family, friends, and neighbors. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
