Lynn Marie (Pierce)Turney died surrounded by loved ones at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Florida on January 20th, 2025 after a brief illness. A resident of Spring Hill, Florida, she was born on her parents’, Ronald and Olive Pierce, 5th wedding anniversary on June 23rd, 1951 in Yonkers, New York.
She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Gorton High School in Yonkers. She later attended Misericordia Nursing School in the Bronx, NY and graduated a Registered Nurse. Most of her career was working in dialysis with patients suffering from kidney failure.
Lynn was a very loving and family oriented person. She loved family get togethers and reminiscing. She followed in her mother’s footsteps being very crafty and a terrific seamstress. She also enjoyed reading and writing and was proud to publish a story in a nursing journal.
She is survived by her daughter, Jaycie McDonald, of Spring Hill Florida, her stepchildren Paul (Francine)Turney of Florida, Matthew Turney of California and Aimee Turney of Florida and two step grandchildren, Rachel and Leah, brother Ronald (Shari) Pierce of Valley Cottage NY, brother Ken (Marion) Pierce of Southbury CT, nieces Veronica Pierce of Naugatuck CT, Amy (Bjorn) Grigholm of Orono Maine, Kathleen Yocher of Naugatuck CT and Caroline (Michael) Eagan of Watertown CT as well as ten treasured great-nephews and great-nieces and many beloved cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Edwin Turney, on the exact day January 20th of the previous year.
There will be a service on Tuesday, January 28th at 2pm at:
