Margaret M King

Margaret M. King of Hudson, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 following a brief battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer.  Margaret was born on November 14, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.  She was raised in Richmond Hill, NY and Westbury, NY. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband John King Sr who passed away on March 2, 2021.  She is survived by her loving sister Virginia Hattenbach and brother Louis Potenza and his wife Maxine, her loving son Richard and his wife Karen; loving son John and his fiancé Heather Locascio; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and many adored cousins, nieces and nephews.  In her early marriage, Margaret was a meticulous homemaker and worked for the Dime Savings Bank.  Mom and Dad raised their 2 sons in Levittown, NY, later moving to Herndon, Virginia before settling in Florida. Mom loved her home and the community of Heritage Pines. She dressed impeccably always, loved to dance and attend shows and karaoke, and to spend time with so many wonderful friends who she treasured.  No public service will be scheduled per Mom’s wishes.  In memory of Margaret, please enjoy every minute, live life to the fullest, be kind, and know that she loved her family and friends as we do.
