Margaret W. Payne

Margaret Lenore (Leni) Williams Payne,78, passed away on March 23, 2025 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. Leni was born in West Springfield, Massachusetts on September 18, 1946 to Joseph and Margaret Williams who preceded her in death.

Leni was a life long educator and also spent many years in Maine as a small business owner.  She was also a very proud Ohio State Alumni.

Leni is survived by her loving son Michael Payne of Weeki Wachee, Florida. She also leaves behind her sister, Lauri Groves, and brother in law, Paul Groves of Divide Colorado. Also surviving is her brother, David Williams, and sister in law, Zelma Williams from Washington, Maine.

She also leaves behind her nephew, Noah Groves and his wife, Ashley. Also her niece, Meghan Manley and her husband

Eric and their son, Caleb, her great nephew and special joy. All reside in Colorado.

In Maine, she is also survived by her Niece, Melanie Leo and her husband TJ and their son and Leni's great nephew, Cole.

Leni was well loved and will be truly missed by many. We will especially miss her laugh and her sense of humor.

A private Mass will be held at Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic church in Spring Hill, Florida.
