Mary J. Hamner

Mary Janette Hamner went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2022.

Mary was born on July 15, 1948 to Hubert and Janette Short. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Donald.

Son; William L. Apgar, Jr.

Daughter; Jacqueline ( Curtis Faulk ) Kelly

Step Son; Donald Hamner II

Grandsons; Hal (Danielle ) Kelly and Seth ( Emerie ) Kelly

Great Grand daughter; Charlotte Kelly

Brother; Hubert ( Doreen ) Short

Mary was a Life Member and Past President of VFW Post 8681 in Shady Hills, Fl, and a member of Eagles Aerie 4497 in Spring Hill, Fl.

Mary lived a full life with all the ups and downs that goes with it. Some of the highlights included trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone Park with some cruises thrown in between. But the real joys of her life were her Children, Grandsons and that Great Granddaughter.

The family members that shaped her life beyond those mentioned and they have to be recognized (with apologies to Aunt Kathy) are her Uncle and Aunt who were so much more than that are Uncle Ron and Aunt Violet. Cousin who was more like a sister Debi Accurso.

The very special friends that are more like sisters than friends are Carol Rogers a friend for 45 years. Pat Sockwell a friend and mentor for all things related to VFW Auxillary. Jackie Orr a cousin by marriage but a friend through the heart. There are way to many to list all of you. On a personal note I went to thank all for the cards and letters but especially the Prayers, They really do make a difference.
