Obituary

Michael A Picheco of Spring Hill, Florida.  Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on January 18, 1943, and passed away on September 2, 2021. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.  Michael is survived by his wife, Idamae; daughters, Michelle (Brad), Christine (Daniel), Melissa (Bill);brothers, Thomas, David; sister, Ann; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

MIKE WAS BORN JANUARY 18, 1943, IN ERIE, PA TO ANDREW AND EILEEN PICHECO.
MARRIED IDAMAE BRIGHTMAN ON JULY 13, 1963. THEY WERE MARRIED FOR 58 YEARS.

MELISSA MORA - HUSBAND BILL--HOLLY (DECEASED), MADELINE HUSBAND DERYION STURDIVANT--CHILD SEBASTIAN
SAVANNAH AND ANTHONY MORA

MICHAEL SERVED IN THE AIR FORCE FROM 1960 TO 1968. HE SERVED IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA, PUERTO RICO, OMAHA, NEBRASKA, AND ORLANDO, FLORIDA. HE WAS ON THE BOWLING TEAM AND ALSO PLAYED THE SAXOPHONE IN THE AIR FORCE BAND FOR TWO YEARS. AFTER SERVING IN THE AIR FORCE, MICHAEL RETURNED TO ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA AND STARTED HIS CARRIER IN THE LTL FREIGHT BUSINESS WITH LIONS’ TRANSPORTATION, THEN CONSOLIDATED FREIGHT & ABF, THEN IN 1996 HE STARTED HIS OWN LOGISTICS BUSINESS CALLED MAP LOGISTICS WITH HIS WIFE. HE RETIRED IN 2004.

MICHAEL DEDICATED A LOT OF WEEKENDS TO SUPPORT HIS THREE DAUGHTERS WITH THEIR HOBBY OF HORSE SHOWING. HE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS MAINTAINING THE HORSE FARMS AND SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY HORSEMENS ASSOCIATION.

HE RESIDED IN TIMBER PINES, SPRINGHILL, FLORIDA FOR 19 YEARS. HE RECEIVED A CERTIFIED PILOT LICENSE IN 1970. HIS HOBBIES CONSISTED OF SHOWING HIS 1988 328GS FERRARI IN THE NATIONAL COMPETITIONS WHICH WON HIM MULTIPLE BEST OF SHOW AND FIRST IN CLASS TROPHIES. HE ALSO ENJOYED BUILDING AND FLYING REMOTE AIRPLANES, BOATING, GOLFING, WATCHING IRL, INDY CAR AND NASCAR RACING.
