Michael Wressell

January 12, 1948 – April 27, 2026

Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Brooksville, FL. Age 78 years old.

Mike was born on January 12, 1948, to the late John and Dorothy (Johnson) Wressell in Saginaw. Mike was a 1966 graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Saginaw. After graduation, he pursued an engineering degree at General Motors Institute, graduating in 1974. He was then employed by Saginaw Steering Gear, later known as Delphi Automotive Systems, traveling to China, South Korea, Brazil and India before retiring after 35 years. He married Vivian Karbowski on October 11, 1969, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage.

Mike was a unique person. He was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He always said, “I have so much material to work with.” His very favorites were family, friends, music and any sport with a ball, especially Pickleball. For sixteen years he enjoyed retirement at Siesta Bay, Fort Myers, FL where he developed so many precious friendships. He loved coaching the women's tennis teams. He touched so many lives. Our family will always have these beautiful memories.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Pam and brother-in-law, Jim Mueller; in-laws, Wallace and Veronica Karbowski and sister-in-law, Patty Karbowski. He leaves behind his wife, Vivian (Pumpkin), his precious children, Michelle (Jamie) Morrisette, Matt (Rebecca) Wressell and his beautiful grandchildren, Mason, Sophie and Sadie; his brother-in-law Ken Karbowski, Greg (Stephanie) Karbowski, sister-in-law, Karla (Robert) Grant, Dean (Linda) Karbowski; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and of course his Florida and Michigan friends.

There will be a Mass celebrating Mike's life at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini on May 26, 2026, 11:00 a.m. A memorial will be held in Michigan at a later date.
