Minnie Evelyn Clifton

Minnie Evelyn Clifton, age 84 of Brooksville, Florida went home to The Lord Sep. 4, 2025.  Minnie was born to Anton E. and Thelma P Malmquist on May 22, 1941, in East Gary Indiana, but grew up in Hobart Indiana.

She was a wife, mother, grocer, waitress & worked a deli before becoming a semi-truck driver after meeting the love of her life Dwight Clifton. She loved being on the road but always missed her family terribly.  She finished her career at Save a Lot on Cortez Blvd. bringing smiles to many.  She would come alive in the company of her grandchildren and Church family at Forest Oaks Lutheran Church in her latter days.

Mrs. Clifton was preceded in death by her loving parents, husband Dwight Clifton, three siblings, Tony, Robert and Terry Malmquist, two children, Teresa Karen Byrns and Michael Anton Somers.

She is survived by her son, Marvin Dwight Clifton Jr., Sister, Patricia Sigman, Brother, Ernest Malmquist, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren & one great great grandchild.

Services will be held @ Forest Oaks Lutheran Church for Beloved friends & family. Friday September 19, 2025 @ 11am.
