Myrtle Adriance Obituary

Myrtle G. Adriance, 100, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly Churchtown, New York passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Myrtle was born on January 9, 1921 in Hudson, New York to Jay Wesley and Ruth (Silcock) McKay. Myrtle married Irving Lyle Adriance in 1937 and they raised their family of seven daughters in Churchtown, New York. She was a talented seamstress, avid gardener and a member of the Churchtown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Myrtle also enjoyed horses, music and bowling.

Myrtle is survived by her daughters, Gladys (Bell), Ruth (Bartholomew), and Virginia (Hankamp), 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Katherine (Harp), Barbara (Beecher), Gloria (Miller) and Norma (Adriance), and granddaughter, Nancy (Pitcher). Myrtle was also preceded by her 6 siblings; George McKay, Barbara Bowlander, Dorothy Phillips, Marjorie Bertok, Jane McKay and Norma Polidor.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
