Nancy Lee Matthis

Born January 14, 1941 gained her forever dancing shoes at the age of 82 on May 27th, 2023.  Her joyful demeanor and irreverent humor ensured family and friends across all walks of life.  In the neighborhood in which we grew up in she was the hip (cool) mom.  Many kids in the neighborhood who needed a home found one under her roof, whether for the night or however long they needed.  Water fights, dance parties and late-night scary movies were shared by all (kids, grandkids).  Coffee always on the stove for friends to drop by and talk.   She was not always an easy woman, however her love and selflessness were boundless. 

Nancy is survived by her husband Ron of 62 years, children Beth, Chrissy, Sunday and Ron JR.  She has eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren to round out her big rambunctious family.  She was predeceased by hers sons Jimmy and David who were waiting to welcome her Home.
