Nina A. Mitchell

Mitchell, Nina (Nancy)

of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away peacefully,

surrounded by family on September 14th, 2018 at the age of 80.

She was preceded in death by her son Paul Brandes and her husband Charles R. Mitchell.

She leaves behind her dear brother, John Hollister, and a loving extended family.

She is survived by four children; Skip Brandes, Jimmy Brandes, Kathleen DeTore, and Julie Ditzel.

Nancy had two wonderful sons-in-law, Mark Ditzel and Paul De Tore.

She had seven grandchildren; Luke, James, Dillon, Mary, Megan, Allison, and Evelyn,

as well as three great grandchildren. 

Nancy had a special gift for gardening,

and her family cherishes many memories of her lively roses and hibiscus blooms.

She loved Johnny Cash and Vince Gill,

and her home was adorned in a colorful collection of Fenton glass.

Nancy found joy in board games with her grandchildren

and loved spending the holidays with her family.

She was an unrivaled champion of Uno and Jeopardy.

Her feisty personality and humorous quips will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

As we grieve the loss of our mother, grandmother, and matriarch “Ms. B”,

we rejoice that she now rests in heaven with her beloved husband Charles and her youngest son Paul.
