Noel Ramos, Jr.

Noel Ramos Jr passed peacefully, surrounded by family at 4:58 PM EST on September 14th 2022 just two weeks after celebrating his 65th birthday. He was a loving father and grandfather. He always did the best he could to show love and compassion to those in his life regardless of life's obstacles. He was born on September 1st of 1957 in Ft. Dix, NJ growing up in Brooklyn, NY, where he and his two older sisters were raised by their mother.

Noel was always an active member in his community. In his early life, he was the community president of student council at Onondaga Community College where he met his wife and mother to his two children - Kathy. He also coached a youth baseball team and ran for city counsel there. He was a frequent volunteer for the Salvation Army and present father, attending field trips, and cheering his girls on at school events.  

Noel was quite the character and enjoyed telling jokes, talking about history, enjoying a good action film, good food, and quality time with his family and friends. 

He was a man of unwavering faith in God and always ending every conversation-from a familiar face to a stranger - with 'God bless you' or 'May God be with you'. 

Noel is predeceased by his father Noel Ramos- Pratts, his mother Pertronila “Carmin" Ramos, and sister Marilyn Cruz-Watson. He is survived by his ex-wife Kathy who stuck by his side till the very end, his sister Sandra Vitale, his two daughters, Jillian (Justin) Tarr and Lindanicole (Jonathan) Ramos, and 3 beautiful granddaughters. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 from 3pm - 5pm at Downing Funeral Home in Spring HIll, FL followed by a memorial service and military sendoff. 

A celebration of life dinner will be held at the home of his oldest daughter at 6pm following the service for family and friends.
