Patrick J. Conrey
Patrick J. Conrey of Spring Hill, FL passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 after a battle
with cancer. Patrick was born on February 23, 1940 in Ashland, PA to James A. Conrey and
Gertrude M. Bunger. He was the loving husband to Mary (Mimi) Conrey and father to Kathleen McMullen, (Steve); Mary Beth Conrey; and Patrick M. Conrey (Catherine). He was extremely proud of his grandson, Sean Conrey (Ashley) and to know his great grandsons Skyler and Brayden. 

         Patrick was a budget analyst with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for over 30 years. When he retired, he devoted his time to pottery, reading books on history, and taking spin classes at the YMCA. He was a case manager with the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Spring Hill.  He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Hernando County. 

His fondest memories were of the coal regions in northeast Pennsylvania and later doing good works to help those in need. He was devoted to his wife Mimi for 58 years in marriage. His best memories were the birth of all his children. 

He leaves behind a devoted wife and loving family, a wonderful dog, Tootsie, and many nieces and nephews. 

Patrick was inspired by the gospel of Matthew 25:35 – For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that this biblical verse inspire you to give the charity of your choice.

A memorial mass is planned with St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Spring Hill and a memorial service at St. Eleanor Regina Chapel in Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania.
