Philomena L. DeAngelo, 91 from Pennsylvania moved to Springhill Florida in 1991 and left this earth on October 28, 2025.
Philomena will be interred at Bushnell Veteran’s Cemetary with a private honoring. She will be placed with her loving husband Edward B. DeAngelo a Navy veteran.

Philomena aka Phyllis was born on March 30, 1934 to Joseph and Rose Giovinazzo in Pennsylvania. She had ten siblings growing up in a very loving and busy home. She was one of four girls in the Giovinazzo family with seven brothers.
Phyllis married Edward, a dashing young Navy service man with a heart of gold on May 31, 1958. They were married fifty nine years before his passing. Edward was known as the Trumpet player at St. Teresa’s Church for more than eleven years.
She worked at Standard Press Steal for twelve years as a Comtometer operator before giving birth to her daughter, Rose and moving to Memphis Tennessee, transferred by the Navy. This move set her life on a tradectory to travel and live in many places. Her favorite trips were to Hawaii and Jamaica. “NO problem man was her favorite saying for years.
Phyllis had a fulfilling life but always yeared to see her parents and siblings. The family did its best to travel back to for special occasions and events as often as possible. This made her heart glow.
She enjoyed a plethora of activities and events in her lifetime. She had a passion for sports, gardening, music, art, coaching and dancing. She shared many of these with Edward and their daughter.
Phyllis will be missed by her family and longtime friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand and offer support. Her sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed.
Preceded by her parents, husband, grand baby and nine siblings. She is survived by loving daughter, sister, Pauline and sister in laws Mari Beth.
