Ralph P. "Raul" Alfano Jr.

Ralph P. Alfano Jr. (the ladies called him “Raul” but don’t call him Ralphie), 76, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of over 50 years by his side on April 17 2026. Born on July 25, 1949, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ralph lived a full life marked by laughter, love, and a personality that could light up any room he walked into.

Ralph was a proud machine operator with the Engineers Union, a career he dedicated himself to with hard work and grit. But if you asked anyone who knew him, they wouldn’t start with his job they’d tell you he was the life of the party. If you asked Ralph, he would tell you his greatest accomplishment was being a husband, father and Poppy. Ralph had a natural way of making people laugh, often without even trying, and he carried a sense of humor that stayed with him throughout his life and always brought the same energy wherever he went.

Kids didn’t just like Ralph they flocked to him. He had a way of turning into one of them the moment he walked into a room, always ready with a joke, a laugh, or a little mischief.  Being a “big kid” wasn’t an act it was just who he was.

Ralph found joy in the outdoors. He loved gardening, riding motorcycles, and spending time outside whenever he could. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dogs, Lucky, a German Shepherd mix, and Gypsy, a Belgian Shepherd, who were truly part of the family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kari Alfano; his eldest daughter, Christine Antonucci, her husband Michael, and their children Nico, Isabella, Dante, and Marco; his son, Russell Alfano, his wife Rachel, and their children Sophia-Rose and Josephine; and his youngest daughter, Kimberly Alfano (who was born on his birthday, a fact that always made him incredibly proud) and her husband Josh Banyai. Ralph is also survived by his sister, Janet Alfano and 2 dozen nieces and nephews. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph P. Alfano Sr. and Barbara Alfano, as well as his siblings Gary Alfano, Barbara Accavallo, Clifford Alfano, and Stephen Alfano.

Ralph will be remembered for his humor, his big heart, and the way he made everyone around him feel like family. The world feels a little quieter without him but somewhere, you can bet “Raul” is still cracking jokes, making people laugh, and keeping the party going. 

At this time, no arrangements have been made for services however, a celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
