Regina “Jean” Corke passed away peacefully in her home on October 12, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 18, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Jean moved to Florida in 1972, where she spent the remainder of her life. Jean dedicated much of her life to the medical field, retiring after 34 years of devoted service with Dr. J. Otheguy. Her compassion, dedication, and warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She is survived by her three children: her son Michael, her daughter Dawn and her husband Rick, her daughter Kathleen, along with Kathleen’s husband, Peter. Jean was a proud and loving grandmother to Megan, Tyler, Michael, Gillian, and Nicholas, and a cherished great-grandmother to Anthony and Raegan. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Lenore and Georgette. Jean found great joy in the beauty of nature. She had a deep love for birds and animals, and spent many peaceful hours in her garden, nurturing both plants and wildlife. Her compassion and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
