Rene’ was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1971. A lifelong learner with a deep commitment to caring for others, she earned several associate degrees, including her Registered Nurse license. Later in life, she returned to school, achieving both her Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Health Administration—an accomplishment that reflected her determination, intelligence, and passion for healthcare.

Rene’s love language was gift-giving, and she was affectionately known as “Santa” by her grandchildren. She delighted in spoiling them with love, generosity, and thoughtful surprises as they grew, creating cherished memories that will live on forever.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn (Buckler) Branch; her father, Arnold Branch; her brother, Ronald Branch; her stepsons, James St. Charles III (Judy) and David St. Charles; brother-in-law Donald Schanhals; and her beloved friend, Lynn Boyd Debo.
Rene’ also leaves behind her closest and dearest friends, cousin Penelope “Penny” Smith and Gretchen Grefe, whose friendship and love meant the world to her.
Rene’ will be remembered for her warmth, dedication to family, strong work ethic, and the deep love she shared so freely with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, perseverance, and unconditional love that will continue to guide and comfort all who knew her.
