It is with deep, heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Richard A. Levesque on July 10, 2025.  A beloved son, brother and trusted friend, Richard was born on September 29, 1946 in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Richard is preceded in his death by his parents Armand and Lillian Levesque and his brother William Levesque.

Richard was proud of his life’s work at Acushnet Company - Titleist and especially proud of his service to his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War.  As a disabled war veteran and true American Hero, he gave when others wouldn’t and believed when others couldn’t.

Richard’s strength and daily dedication to his Catholic faith was not only remarkable but refreshing, exhilarating and inspirational.  He enjoyed doing yard work, dining at local restaurants, spending time with friends and playing with his beloved dog Lilly.  

Although he is no longer with us, Richard’s love and spirit will always remain in our hearts. He touched the lives of many with his generosity, humility and care for others. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard is survived by his sisters, Diane Kinnon and Marguerite Anne Buckley and his brothers, Robert and Ronald Levesque. 

A viewing will be held on July 17th at Downing Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:00am, followed by a Chapel Service at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini at 11:00am.  A military burial with honor guard will be held on July 22nd, 11am at the National Cemetery in Bushnell.
