Richard "Ritchie" Ravella

Of Spring Hill, Florida.  

He was born in Brooklyn, New York with beautiful brown eyes on April 29, 1949 (together with his twin sister) and passed away on July 15, 2025. 

He is a retired New York City Transit Police officer and a United States Navy Veteran. Richard was proud of his 75 tattoos (his skin art) which covered his body. He was a very charitable man, supporting many causes faithfully. His mantra was the Serenity Prayer which he had proudly tattooed on his back "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference". He loved Doo-Wop music from 50's, 60's...was always tuned in to that music channel while relaxing in his recliner with a cigar. One can say a lot of things about Richard, Ritch, Ritchie but above all else 'He Did it HIS Way'...

He is survived by his three sons, Benedict, Richard Jr, Anthony; several grandchildren and 

great-grandchildren; his devoted companion and loving care givers.  

Thanks to all the Hernando County Health Care Community who worked tirelessly to assist Mr. Ravella this last year.
