Robert Gwathney, Forever in Our Hearts
Robert Gwathney, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, peacefully answered Heaven's call on June 6, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 1, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey, Robert was the son of the late William and Fannie Gwathney.
Robert dedicated 43 years of his life to a successful career as a Marketing and Sales Executive, notably with Bridgeport Machines, a Division of Textron, Inc., where he left a lasting impact. A proud patriot, Robert honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963, including during the pivotal Cuban Missile Crisis.
Since 2005, Robert found joy and tranquility as a resident of Florida. He leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by his son Troy Keith Gwathney and daughter Tonya Marie Gwathney. His memory will also be treasured by his grandchildren, Trent, Taylor, and Madison, along with a host of other loving family members and dear friends.
Robert's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
